Taking the wrong turn can sometimes become the best turn you’ll ever take, the turn into Lead King Basin was no exception. In an attempt to make it from Crested Butte to Crystal, CO we ran into a traffic jam at the split to Lead King Basin. overwhelmed with the logistical issues of getting multiple vehichles going different directions on a Jeep road just wide enough for one vehicle I decided to head up to Lead King Basin, loop over to Marble, and catch Crystal Mill later in the day on the way back to Crested Butte. That’s where I captured this image and go onto capture “Treasure Mountain - 2023” very soon after this was taken.
